Tour de Donut:
Gluttons for Punishment

A documentary film by Steve Kelly and Jim Klenn

Every July, hundreds of spandex-clad gluttons for punishment participate in the Tour de Donut. Cyclists get five minutes off their time for each donut they consume during the 30-mile ride in and around Staunton, Illinois.

Does anyone know why so many of these knuckleheads take this spoof of the Tour de France so seriously? Or perhaps more importanly ... does anyone care?

The answer is ... a resounding YES!

The Tour de Donut began back in 1989 with only a handful of riders. Now over 500 riders participate in this annual event. Each donut eaten at 2 stops along the course brings cyclists either closer to glory or simply closer to a massive stomach ache.

Will two elite cyclists be able to help their friend, former bike racer Tim Ranek, outpedal and outeat the rest of the competition?

The only way to find out is to buy your copy of "Tour de Donut: Gluttons for Punishment!"
